Accounting Services
The firm provides accounting services to its clients
primarily in support of its tax preparation and consulting
services. The firm provides monthly bookkeeping services to its
business customers for a two-fold purpose. The first purpose is
to accumulate all the data necessary to allow the firm to
prepare an efficient and accurate business tax return. A more
important purpose of the firm’s accounting services is to
support proactive tax planning services to the client prior to
year end. Accurate and timely information throughout the tax
year is essential to developing a plan that is effective in
minimizing tax burdens on the business, as well as, on the
business owner. For this reason, most of our accounting services
are computed using the tax basis of accounting. Our business
owners find that our financial statements provide useful
information that assist them in making business decisions
concerning the operations and profit goals of their businesses.
Nearly all of our financial statement services are performed as
compilations using the income tax basis of accounting.
Occasionally, the firm uses Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP) where this method is necessary for income tax
returns, or for reporting to lenders.
